from scribbles to a lesson

Messy notes in, a clean narrated lesson out. The AI organises your notes into a story, illustrates each idea, and narrates it in the voice and language you choose.

Upload your notes, or a photo of them

  • Text-based PDF, Word, Markdown or TXT, up to 50 MB.
  • Headings help: each section becomes a scene.
  • Scanned pages work, but clean text gives better narration.

Trusted by teams, schools, and organizations around the world

DistilBook turns a page of notes into a video lesson in one run: it groups your notes into 6 to 10 teaching points, writes a spoken script for each, and generates an illustrated, narrated slide per point. Two pages of lecture notes become a 3 minute video, and you review the script before any audio is made.

How does it work?

Paste or upload your notes
1

Paste or upload your notes

Typed notes, a Markdown file, a Word doc or a photo of handwritten pages. Handwriting is read with OCR, so a phone photo of a notebook page works.

The AI turns bullet points into a logical sequence with one idea per slide and pauses so you can reorder, cut or add a point.

Each point becomes a narrated, animated slide. Pick the sketch-notebook style for study material or whiteboard for a classroom feel.

Who is this for?

Students revising

Turn a week of notes into a video you can replay before the exam. Listening to the material narrated is a second pass without re-reading.

Teachers and tutors

Your lesson notes become a video the class can watch before the session, so classroom time goes to questions instead of delivery.

Teams after a meeting

Meeting notes become a two minute recap video for the people who were not in the room.

Frequently asked questions

Can I turn handwritten notes into a video?

Yes. Upload a photo or scan of the page. The text is read with OCR before the script is written, and you see the extracted text at the review step so you can fix any misread words.

How many notes do I need for a video?

One page is enough. The AI needs about 150 words to build a 5 slide lesson. Longer notes are summarised to at most 12 slides, so a 10 page set of notes still produces a focused 4 to 5 minute video.

Will it invent things my notes do not say?

The script is written from your notes and you approve it before generation. Where notes are terse, the AI expands a bullet into a full sentence, and any line you disagree with can be edited or removed in the review step.

Which languages can the narration be in?

20+ languages including English, Spanish, Hindi, French, German, Portuguese and Japanese, with a choice of 34 voices. Notes in one language can be narrated in another.

Is this different from NotebookLM Video Overviews?

NotebookLM produces a slide-style overview from sources inside Google's notebook. DistilBook produces an animated, illustrated video in 20 visual styles with a script you edit line by line, an MP4 you can download at up to 1440p, and your own branding.
