How do you do it, step by step?

Export the deck to PDF
In PowerPoint choose File then Export then Create PDF. In Google Slides choose File then Download then PDF Document. Keep the speaker notes out of the export if you do not want them narrated, because DistilBook reads all visible text.

Choose the slide range
Pick the pages to convert. This is how you control cost and length: only the range you select is converted, so a 40 slide deck can become a focused 3 slide video if that is all you need.

What are the limits?

Can DistilBook open a .pptx file directly?
Not today. Export the deck to PDF first, which takes one menu click in PowerPoint or Google Slides, then upload the PDF.
Will my slide design be preserved?
No, and that is deliberate. DistilBook reads the content of the deck and generates its own animated scenes in the style you choose. If you need your exact slide design on screen, a screen recording tool is the better fit.
