How do I choose a video style?

The style depends on the format you start. Guided Explainer, the hand-drawn whiteboard format, has five slide styles: Classic Whiteboard, Mono Line Art, Sketch Notebook, Minimal Yellow Line and Hand-Drawn Education, and Classic Whiteboard also offers templates. Motion Explainer has a Video Style picker with a live Style Preview and filters such as Education, Creators, Training and Tech, and it needs a style before you can generate. In both formats, Visual instructions under Advanced settings lets you steer the artwork, for example a warm palette or hand-drawn arrows, without changing the narration.
What do you need before you start?
- A new video in Guided Explainer or Motion Explainer.
How do you do it, step by step?

Guided Explainer
Open Slide Style and choose one of the five whiteboard styles. With Classic Whiteboard you can also pick a template.

Motion Explainer
In Video Style, use the filter chips to narrow the list, check the Style Preview, and select one.

Steer it (optional)
Under Advanced settings, write Visual instructions. They go to the image model for every slide and never change the narration.
What are the limits?
The honest list, so you know before you start rather than after.
- You choose the style before generating. To try another style, make the video again with the same source.
- Visual instructions are limited to 600 characters.

Hand-Drawn Education or Classic Whiteboard in Guided Explainer look like a teacher drawing on a board, which suits lessons and exam prep.
Can I use my brand colours with a style?
Yes. Brand colors sit next to the style picker, and custom colours are available on paid plans.
